Management Information Systems
All of our schools and the Central Office are connected to a main system . We operate a Unisys A14-D21 mainframe and our schools operate from a workstation or PC. Our software, developed by Lafourche Parish School System, allows immediate access to student information such as attendance, grade reporting, buses, lunch, and many other services. In addition to our A14 mainframe, we operate a NCS scanner for computerized report cards, 1200 LP line printer, over 300 terminals, PC's and remote printers, and the School System's Unisys payroll, fixed asset and sales tax mainframe.
Technology
The TangiTech Planning Team has written the Technology Plan for our schools to include hardware, software, networking, professional development and internet. The committee was divided into sub-committees to cover all aspects in making final decisions. The committee was also diverse in that it includes elementary, secondary and university educators, business and public service leaders, and Tangipahoa Parish School System staff.
