Before you toss out that milk jug... find out how to take advantage of its many talents.

Milk Jugs

Cut diagonally from neck to middle, and use to mix and carry paint
or garden soil.

Punch holes in the cap and use as a sprinkler.

Fill with water, freeze and place in a cooler for long car trips or
picnics.

Cut a hole opposite the handle to make a carryall for tools, paintbrushes, etc.

Use as weights when exercising. Fill with water or sand to suit your needs.

Plastic Bottles

Cut off the bottom of a plastic soda bottle and use the top part as a funnel.

Fill a ketchup squirt bottle with water and keep it near your iron
for handy refills.

Use large bottle caps, such as those from liquid laundry detergent, to hold glue, paint or paste for kids' art projects.

Fill a large bottle with the correct mixture of plant food and water(write it right on the label) and keep on hand as a spillproof watering can. Cardboard Boxes

-Place a ball of yarn in an empty tissue box. Pull the end through the opening on the top to prevent tangles.

Make finding shoes easier by cutting off one end of a shoebox. Stack on top of each other.

Large detergent boxes cut on the diagonal and covered with decorative adhesive plastic are perfect for filing magazines.

Kitchen Aids

Dental floss can do the job of a serrated knife, often with better results. Holding a length taut between your hands, use it to slice soft freshcheese and cheesecake, and to split a cake into layers without a turntable.

In need of a ring pan? Make an impromptu one by placing a tall, open food can, weighed down with pie weights, in the center of a cake pan. Then just pour the cake batter around the can.
