4:30pm, July 2, 2000. It was about this time of day 137 years ago that the fearless Barksdale's Brigade stepped off and headed toward the Peach Orchard in what has been described as the Grandest Charge Ever. My ancestor, Pvt. N. Newton Nash, Co. I, 13th Miss. died with 4 of his messmates in the charge.
Check it out in Bettersworth's Miss in CW. Anyone out there a descendant of Clem Black, John Gilliland, Isaiah Fletcher or JAckson Weeks?
Let's not forget these boys who paid the price for their country.
