Hammond Junior High School is located in Hammond, Louisiana, which is a vital part of Tangipahoa Parish. Our school serves 560 7th and 8th grade students. We have a dedicated faculty of 36 teachers and 6 paraprofessionals. 

Hammond Junior High offers a broad curriculum to prepare students for success in high school. We offer a range of diverse electives, such as Jr. ROTC, Chorus, Conflict Resolution, Drama, and Broadcasting Journalism. We also offer Computer Assisted Instruction and a nationally recognized In-School Suspension Program, which was the pilot program for the parish. 

Our Mission: 
The staff of Hammond Junior High believes that all children can learn and deserve the same quality and quantity of education, regardless of background, socio-economic status, race or gender. We believe that it is within the realm of the school's rsponsibilities to develop each student academically, physically, morally, socially, and emotionally. We accept the responsibility to teach all students so that they can attain their maximum educational potential.
