Project "Top End"

I decided to try and ring out a few more ponies by doing some upgrades to the top end of the 355. First upgrade was porting to the Intake Base, Runners, and Cylinder Heads. I chose Galant Technical Performance of Houston Texas to do the work. The valves were also upgraded to Ferrea 6000 series. Below are some pics and flow test results of the porting.

In the graph below you can see the improvement over the standard street porting that AFR provides.

Below are a few pics of the work.

Second, I decided to upgrade the valvetrain. This upgrade consisted of CompCams 1.7 Stainless Rockers, 7/16" Rocker Studs, CompCams 977 Dual Valvespring(150lb seat / 425lb open) and Titanium Retainers. The 1.7 ratio basically makes the valve opening and closing events a bit more aggressive and total valve lift will now be .570/.578.

Third and final upgrade was a 58mm Throttle Body. Comparing to the 52mm I used before, it's probably worth only about 2-3hp, but as I said earlier, I am just trying to ring out as much as I can.
