South Mississippi In-home Learning Experience

This home school support group is comprised of many different races and religions. We are all bound
together by our endeavor to provide the best quality education for our children. We believe that parents
are the primary educators of their children. We realize that no one knows our children better than we do,
and we plan to keep it that way. We are not holding them back or excluding them from society. No one
should question our intentions. We are protecting them from the evils of this world the best way we can,
by giving them essential lessons in morals and values that will guide them throughout their lives and careers.
Yes, they can have careers. Colleges do accept home schoolers as they do graduates from private academies.
Home schoolers have shown their willingness and enthusiasm for learning by participating and winning
numerous state and nationwide contest and challenges. They will undoubtedly win more in the future.
After all, that's really what it's all about. The educating and nurturing of our own futures. Pray for the Children

The Tower of David
(This title should give consolation to home schooling parents.)

Towers were built on high points around cities to observe if hostile forces or armies were approaching.
They were also used as observation posts against wild beasts or thieves. Often, towers reinforced the walls
of a city as fortifications, especially towers at the gates of a city.
WE home schooling parents should ask the Lord to be our Tower against the many and varied kinds of hostile
forces, beasts, and thieves of the society which try to defeat us in our home schooling enterprise.
We certainly need to keep the beasts of drugs, violence, and pornography from our family doors and living
rooms. We certainly need to keep the thieves of materialism and atheism, which constantly threaten the souls
of our childtren , from breaking into our homes. We must stand up to the hostile forces of a government that
masks its abuses of power behind the so-called "rights of the individual" while vehemently stomping on the
fundamental rights of parents and families.
Our home schooling family life style is an attempt to have a pure and simple life for our family. Yet through
the power of prayer, self-sacrifice and study of the teachings of Jesus Christ, we intend for our children to
defend our Savior and conquer the enemies we face, enemies of our Lord and our nation.
