There are four, well, six of us Braceys. We also consider our blue-eyed husky, Sasha, and parakeet, Kisses, part of the family. Home for us is Morgantown, MS.
Morgantown is a small community on the banks of the Pearl River in South Mississippi. As in many small towns, the citizens of Morgantown are good neighbors to one another. The majority attend Morgantown Church of God.
Morgantown
was originally named Lenoir's Landing. The Lenoir family plantation home
(long since burned) was built on the banks of the Pearl. The Lenoir family
cemetery, or what's left of it, exists on private property in the middle
of Morgantown. It is true that Southerners are guilty of marrying cousins
(albeit distant ones). At any rate, almost everyone in Morgantown can claim
some kinship to one another, sometimes on both sides of the family.
One of the most interesting scenic sights in the Morgantown area is Red Bluff, a miniature Grand Canyon. That's Matt pictured standing on the edge of the bluff. Many of the natives have hiked to the bottom at least once in their lifetimes.
