Web Planning Guide Objectives Critique Web Sites Instructional Sites Extended Learning Additional Resources

Planning

The most important part of building a Web site is planning.  First, you must assess your target audience and content specific to the need for instruction via your web page.  Then, ask yourself the following questions:

Is there a topic in my curriculum that I want to enhance?

Are there facts or information that I want to make sure my students have?

Are my students missing information or material to complete an activity or a research project?

Can I make information available for parents and students when an absence occurs?

Quickly, fill out the handout about your instructional wants and needs for your students.  Any blanks can be filled in as you surf various teacher's web sites for ideas, but having a good plan before surfing will help tremendously.  Take about 10-15 minutes to complete the web site planning guide.
