perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
{10} Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation."
shadow...never...make the comers thereunto perfect
(Heb 10:1 KJV) "For the law having a
shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto

commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."
Law
did not keep the law
(John 7:19 KJV) "Did not Moses give you the
law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?"
refuse to keep
(Exo 16:28 KJV) "And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my
commandments and my
law?"
under judges
(Judg 2:17 KJV) "And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the
commandments of the LORD; but they did not so."

(2 Ki 17:13 KJV) "Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my
commandments and my statutes, according to all the
law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets."

one offering he hath perfected
(Heb 10:14-18 KJV) "For by one offering he hath
perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
{15} Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
{16} This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
{17} And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
{18} Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin."
who are under the law
(Rom 3:19-20 KJV) "Now we know that what things soever the
law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. {20} Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin."
ye are not under the law

law to her husband
(Rom 7:1-4 KJV) "Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? {2} For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. {3} So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. {4} Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God."
