I believe the Day of the Lord comes after (post) the tribulation, when Jesus comes in the clouds to takes His Church.

"Immediately after ¹ the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:" (Mat 24:29 KJV)

"And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds ² of heaven with power and great glory." (Mat 24:30 KJV)

"And he shall send his angels with a great ³ sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Mat. 24:31 KJV)

Similar

What Jesus said in Matthew 24:29 is similar to some description in Revelation 6:12-14, and what is written in Acts 2:20, a quote from Joel 2:31 -- things that are to happen before the terrible Day of the Lord. The celestial bodies and earth ^Study will be altered and moved at His coming.

"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together ⁴; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (Rev 6:12-14 KJV)

"And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:" (Acts 2:19-20 KJV)

"And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." (Joel 2:30-31 KJV)

In Revelation 6:12, when the six seal is opened, it says "the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood," and in Joel 2:30, it says, "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." According to Joel 2:30 the incidents of the sun and moon occur before the day of the Lord. According to Matthew 24:29 similar things occur after the tribulation. After the celestial bodies and earth are altered and moved in Revelation 6:12-14, Jesus and the wrath of the Lamb come, according to the following scripture in Revelation 6:16-17, which is a continuation of when the six seal is opened.

⁵ "And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Rev 6:16-17 KJV)

Day of Wrath

That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet, which I believe is the great trumpet mentioned in Isaiah 27:13.

"The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.  Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land." (Zep 1:14-18 KJV)

Wrath comes after the resurrection
